Is the battery warning light on your dashboard on? Are the electronic accessories malfunctioning, or is it hard to start your car? If you answered yes to any of these questions, your INFINITI needs a new car battery from your INFINITI dealer. The Check Engine and Battery Light Is On If your car battery is weak and failing, it can cause the check engine and battery lights to turn on. The lights go on when the voltage fluctuates. Ask your INFINITI technician to perform a battery test to check if your battery is still holding a proper charge and if you need to replace it. You Have Problems With the Electronic Accessories A weak battery will cause your electronic accessories to start acting up. Suddenly, you'll have issues with the power locks, the headlights will be dimmer than usual, and even your windshield wipers will move slower. It's Hard To Start Your Car If your car takes longer than usual to start or you hear a clicking sound when turning the key in the ignition, it could mean your vehicle's battery is failing - a clear warning sign. Ignoring this could end up with your car not starting at all. If you have to use jumper cables more than once in a short time, it's best to get a new battery as soon as possible. You Notice Corrosion Around the Terminals If you notice a white substance around the terminals, that's corrosion, which can cause voltage issues, making it difficult to start your car. Fortunately, if the corrosion isn't too severe, you can remove it using baking soda, water, and a brush. However, replacing your battery is best if the corrosion has already started gnawing away at the metal. The Battery Case Is Damaged Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures could cause damage to the battery case. If the battery case is swollen or has visible cracks, replacing the battery is the only thing you can do. Your Battery Is Older Than Three Years A good-quality battery is expected to last for three to five years. However, once it's three years old, get it tested regularly. Regular battery tests will help you decide whether to replace it with a new one to avoid unexpected breakdowns. If you have battery problems or your battery is three years old, visit J.B.A. INFINITI of Ellicott City today. Our certified INFINITI technicians will perform a battery test to determine the condition of your car battery, and if you need a new one, install a reliable quality battery that offers dependable, long-lasting power.

If you want your INFINITI to stay reliable, get a regular oil change from your INFINITI dealer. Fresh engine oil lubricates the moving components and protects your engine from the harmful effects of friction, heat, and wear, ensuring your engine runs smoothly and remains in good condition, ultimately extending its lifespan. Oil and Filter Change Intervals If you want to prolong the lifespan of your INFINITI engine, it's crucial to schedule oil and filter changes twice a year. Changing the engine oil and filter every six months can significantly decrease wear and tear by creating a lubricating shield between the moving engine components. The oil and filter change intervals for your specific INFINITI model are in your owner's manual. You can also speak to your INFINITI technician for more information. Premium Engine Oil Premium engine oil does more than lubricate the engine. The oil also helps remove harmful engine deposits and impurities and prevents corrosion, ensuring your engine stays cleaner for longer. We offer you a full range of INFINITI-approved premium synthetic engine oil products designed for your INFINITI, including genuine Full Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil, Mobil Super Synthetic 5W-30, and Mobil 1 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil. Genuine Full Synthetic Motor Oil Keep your engine running smoothly with genuine Full Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil. Mobil Super Synthetic 5W-30 Ensure your engine lasts longer with Mobil Super Synthetic 5W-30. This high-performance motor oil offers the ultimate protection, even under severe operating conditions. Mobil 1 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil Mobil 1 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil reduces stress under harsh conditions while safeguarding your engine against extreme temperatures. Genuine INFINITI Oil Filters Failing to replace the filter regularly can cause dirt and debris to circulate, leading to increased wear, poor performance, and, ultimately, shortening the life of your engine. We highly recommend using genuine INFINITI oil filters to keep your engine free of contaminants and ensure optimal engine performance.
